Brazil: Pampulha Modern Ensemble

On Tuesday I got eight postcards: one from Brazil, my first card from Rwanda, one from Thailand, one from Andorra, one from Russia and three from Germany.

The card from Brazil shows the São Francisco de Assis church in the Pampulha Modern Ensemble. The Pampulha Modern Ensemble is a garden project around the artifial Lake Pampulha in Belo Horizonte. It was designed by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1940s and is thus the first example of modern architecture in Brazil. Last month the Pampulha Modern Ensemble was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Stamps:
Professions-Barber (from set of two) (issued 04-07-2007)
Prehistoric Animals (from set of four) (issued 12-10-2014)
The dinosaur is scaly.

Thank You very much Silvia!
