China: Shennongjia

Last Tuesday I got five postcards: two from China, one from Croatia, one from Japan and one from Indonesia.

One of the cards from China shows a view of Shennongjia. Shennongjia is a forestry district in the Hubei province. It is the home of many rare animals and was the object of international plant collecting expeditions in the 19th and 20th centuries. Since last month is Hubei Shennongjia on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The card is prepaid and was added with two other stamps including a related one:
Architecture in Macao (from set of four) (issued 12-12-1998)
Shennongjia Nature Reserve (from set of four) (issued 06-06-1998)

Thank You very much Chenzhan!
