India: Sundarbans National Park

On 4th August I got four postcards: one from India, one from Finland and two from Austria.

The card from India shows a Tiger in the Sundarbans National Park. The Sundarbans are located in Bangladesh and India. They are the largest mangrove forest in the World and are known for their biodiversity. The Sundarbans National Park in India was established in 1984. It is one of the largest reserves for the Bengal tiger. The Sundarbans National Park is since 1987 on the UNESCO World Heritage List, while the Sundarbans in Bangladesh were added in 1997.

Stamps:
Woman Empowerment (from set of four) (issued 02-09-2015)
Nabakalebara (issued 17-07-2015)
Unit Trust of India (issued 12-11-2014)

Thank You very much Vinay!
