Greece: Corfu

Today I got two postcards: one from Greece and one from Germany.

The card from Greece shows Corfu. Corfu is the second largest Ionian island and the seventh largest island of Greece. During World War I was Corfu the seat of the Serbian exile government after Serbia was occupied by Austro-Hungarian, Bulgarian and German troops. In 1917 the Corfu Declaration was signed, which enabled the creation of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The Old Town of Corfu is since 2007 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
