Germany: St. Paul's Church

Yesterday I got five postcards: three from Germany, my first card from Tibet and one from the United Kingdom.

One of the cards from Germany shows the St. Paul's Church in Frankfurt am Main. The St. Paul's Church was built between 1789 and 1833. Between 1848 and 1849 was the church home for the Frankfurt National Assembly, the first freely elected parliament for all of Germany. Until 1944 was the St. Paul's Church the Lutheran main church of Frankfurt am Main. It was destroyed in World War II, but was rebuilt after it. Today is the St. Paul's Church used for exhibitions and municipal and state events.
