Spain: Roman Walls of Lugo

Yesterday I got three postcards: one from Spain, one from Japan and one from Germany.

The card from Spain shows the Roman Walls of Lugo. Lugo is the oldest city of Galicia and was founded by the Romans. The Roman Walls were built in the 3rd century for the defence of the city. They are the finest example of late Roman fortifications in Western Europe. The Roman Walls are since 2000 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
