Poland: Warsaw

Today I got three postcards: one from Poland and two from Germany.

The card from Poland shows a view of Warsaw's Old Town. Warsaw is the capital and largest city of Poland. It is also the tenth largest city of the European Union. The city was nearly completely destroyed during World War II. After the war the city's buildings covering a span of history from the 13th to the 20th century were rebuilt. The Historic Centre of Warsaw is since 1980 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Stamps:
Polish Alphabet-Y, T and P (three from set of thirteen) (issued 07-11-2006)
Bridges in Poland (from set of four) (issued 29-08-2008)
Polish Alphabet-I (from set of thirteen) (issued 29-09-2006)

Thank You very much Nathalie!
