Egypt: Egyptian Museum in Cairo

Today I got eight postcards: one from Egypt, my first two cards from Guernsey, two from Germany, one from Brazil, one from Japan and one from Vietnam.

The card from Egypt shows a statue at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. The Egyptian Museum has a collection of 120000 items of the ancient Egyptian history. It houses the World’s largest collection of Pharaonic antiquities. It was founded in 1835 by the Egyptian government and in 1902 it made its final move to the current building at the Tahrir Square after it already had moved twice.

Stamp:
Definitive (from set of three) (issued 07-10-2013)

Thank You very much Lilly!
