Croatia: Plitvice Lakes National Park

Yesterday I got four postcards: one from Croatia, one from Indonesia, one from Norway and one from Thailand.

The card from Croatia shows a view of the Plitvice Lakes National Park. The Plitvice Lakes National Park was founded in 1949. It is the oldest and largest national park in Croatia and one of the oldest in Southeast Europe. It is full of lakes, caves and waterfalls created by water flowing over limestone and chalk and is also home to rare animals. It is visited by more then 1million tourists every year. Since 1979 is the Plitvice Lakes National Park on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Stamps:
Croatian Visual Art (from set of three) (issued 01-12-2015)
EUROPA (from set of two) (issued 07-05-2015)

Thank You very much Antonella!
