Germany: Russian Chapel in Darmstadt

On 8th December I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from China.

The card from Germany shows the Russian Chapel in Darmstadt. The Russian Chapel in Darmstadt was built in a Russian revival style with gold Onion domes between 1897 and 1899. It was used as a private chapel by Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, whose wife Alexandra was born in Darmstadt. This is my first Christmas card of the year. The picture shown here has to be some years old. The last time we had real snow here seems to have been ages ago. While last year it snowed once during December, so far we did not see any snow at all.

German Christmas stamps are always issued with a letter value, however this one from 2014 now has the right value for a postcard within Germany.

 Thank You very much Marcel!
