New Zealand: Rangitoto Island

On Thursday I got a postcard from New Zealand.

It shows a Kiwi Camper in front of Rangitoto Island. Rangitoto Island is a volcanic island in the Hauraki Gulf. Rangitoto, the distinctive symmetrical shield volcano on the island, is the most recent and largest volcano of the Auckland volcanic field. It is home to the largest forest of New Zealand pohutukawa trees in the World and is considered especially significant because all stages from raw lava fields to scrub establishment and sparse forests are visible.
