Germany: Mouse Tower

On Thursday I got two postcards: one from Germany and one from Japan.

The card from Germany shows the Mouse Tower and Ehrenfels Castle. The Mouse Tower is a stone tower on a small island in the Rhine located near Bingen am Rhein. According to the legend the tower got its name from a cruel archbishop who was killed in the tower by thousands of mice. As part of the Upper Middle Rhine Valley it is since 2002 on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Thank You very much Nadine!
